The Sultan's Pool venue in the capital is the place to be, as the 36th annual Jerusalem International Arts and Crafts Fair continues.
The annual happening showcases the works of artists from Israel and around the world. Guest artists hail from North and South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
It is known as "Khutzot Hayotzer" in Hebrew, named after the small arts and crafts lane open year-round at the foot of the Old City Walls. The festival features paintings, ceramics, metalwork, jewelry, textiles and weaving.
The fair takes place every evening from 6 to 11 p.m., through August 27.
In addition to crafts, there's an international food fair serving exotic dishes, as well as music and dance performances by some of Israel's top groups.
"The International Arts and Crafts Fair is one of Jerusalem's most popular festivals," Haim Gutin, Israel commissioner for Tourism, North and South America, told the Ynet news site. "The festival has helped put Jerusalem on the map as one of the world's leading destinations for art and culture."
