Mirren reveals Israel visit

Academy Award winning actress Helen Mirren revealed in a recent interview that she lived on a kibbutz in Israel during the 1960's.

Interviewed about her new movie The Debt where she plays a retired Mossad agent, Mirren said she visited Israel to prepare for the film role and even studied Hebrew. However she said it was not her first visit to the Holy Land.

She revealed that in the late Sixties following the Six Days War she spent six months in Israel working on a kibbutz with her Jewish boyfriend.

Reminiscing she said her job was to work in the fields and pick grapes.
