Event to focus on doing business in Israel


A Dayton-area group is looking to boost local business ties to Israel.

The Miami Valley International Trade Association will host “Israel: Innovation Hub and Trading Partner” on May 19 at The Savannah Center in West Chester.

The director of Israel’s economic mission to the Midwest will deliver the keynote presentation.

In addition, panel discussions will focus on various aspects of international trade and commerce with Israel including:

• What Makes Israel a Hub for Innovation;

• Partnering with Israeli Companies;

• Law & Culture: Doing Business with Israel; and

• Ohio state and local initiatives on trade with Israel.

Last year, The city of Dayton, Montgomery County and the Dayton Development Coalition teamed up to open an office in Haifa, Israel as a way to boost aerospace and high-tech development work in the region.
