An Israeli medical and forensics team leaves for Minsk



In response to an explosion in the Minsk subway system, the MFA has coordinated the deployment of a team of medical and forensic specialists in Minsk

In response to the explosion in the Minsk subway system and at the request of Belarus authorities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has coordinated the deployment of an Israeli team of medical and forensics personnel in Minsk.

The team is comprised of three Homefront Command trauma specialists and four Israel Police forensic specialists. Leading the team is the head of the Medical Corps’ trauma department, Lt. Col. Dr. Alon Galzberg.

The Israeli team is expected to arrive in Minsk on Wednesday, 13 April 2011.
