"Knesset approves Amendment which encourages the advancement of female directors"
The Knesset finally approved an amendment to the law whose purpose was to promote and encourage companies to put more women in senior positions.
The amendment examines board members of public companies where the board has not appointed any women-the company is committed to appoint an external director.
"The amendment is a first step to seeing equal representation of women on boards of public companies," said MK Gamliel who initiated the law originally.
