Recruits to the Kfir Brigade are trained in chemical warfare, urban combat, advanced weaponry and fighting from armored vehicles. The brigade specializes in high profile counter-terror operations, arrests of terrorists, patrols, manning checkpoints and regular security activities.

After a half year’s training, Kfir soldiers receive a camouflaged beret.
According to the IDF, a “Camouflaged” soldier is “a fiery combat soldier, who doesn’t give up, [and] who follows his commanders.”
The brigade’s slogan is “Kfir – Think Camouflaged!”
