Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States Armed Forces Completes His Visit to Israel


The United States Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral James A. Winnefeld, departed Israel today after completing a two-day visit. Admiral Winnefeld was the guest of the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the IDF, Major General Yair Naveh.

During the course of his visit, Admiral Winnefeld met with a number of senior military officials, including the IDF Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Benny Gantz, and visited a number of key military cooperation sites across the country.
Admiral Winnefeld serves as Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and is the second-highest ranking officer in the United States Armed Forces.
