Filmmaker Gareth Unwin whose picture the King's Speech won four Academy Awards plans to sign a joint production contract between Britain and Israel.

Unwin who presided over the judges panel at the recent Haifa International Film Festival said he plans to produce in Israel a film called Zeitoun, a story of coexistence between an Israeli Air Force pilot and a Palestinian boy from Lebanon.

He told reporters the moment he read the script he knew it was the next film he would produce and chose Israeli director Eran Riklis. The two are currently searching in Israel, the Palestinian territories, France and Britain for an actor to play the Palestinian boy.

The screenplay was written by Naider Rizak a Palestinian who lives in the United States.

The movie will be filmed in Israel in Spring next year.
