Lieberman says Israeli Palestinian conflict not the main problem

The recent events in the Arab world proves that the Israeli Palestinian conflict is not the main issue in the area, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said. Speaking at a gathering Sunday night organized by the haredi newspaper Ha'mevasser, Lieberman said the recent events in Tunis, Yemen and Egypt have nothing to do with the Israeli Palestinian conflict. "We despite all the differences we have with the Palestinians have succeeded in keeping the situation under control," he said. Claims by some in the past that the Israeli Palestinian conflict is the main problem in the Middle East have been proven wrong he said.
